In an attempt to get better employees after a bunch of media frenzy and firings from neglect, NYC Children’s Services has just spent nearly a million bucks to put silly ads up in NYC subways… who do they think they are Dr. Zizmor?

The ads challenge potential applicants to consider whether they have the key attributes necessary to doing the job well, asking: “Are You Smart Enough…Are You Brave Enough…Are You Strong Enough… to be a Child Protection Specialist? The $900,000 campaign comprises advertisements in 500 subway cars starting today, and will also include online advertising on job search websites and some print advertising, in venues to be determined. See the article

We here at Metadish have discovered the rejected subway ads, I think some of these could have worked a little better.

The Daily News is reporting that Sarah Jessica Parker had some tough things to say about the city of New York.  Parker was quoted in the paper saying “it’s a really hard city, and it’s very expensive and it’s not what it used to be. That’s why the outer boroughs are so desirable.”  She later went on to say that New York “still is the place with a lot of promise and a lot of potential. And if you have the constitution and you manage to stick it out, it’s well worth every obstacle and every stumbling block.”  It’s refreshing to hear that this great city has promise and potential, it’s only been around for 500 years.  But of course, nobody would really know New York outside of the state without that show Sex and the City.

Diddy Linked to Tupac’s Death

14 years ago Tupac was shot up with 5 bullets at Quad Studios in New York City, and now, the L.A. Times is reporting that Diddy had a lot to do with it. Two associates of Diddy, the Times reports, James ”Jimmy Henchman” Rosemond and promoter James Sabatino, planned to attack Shakur for not showing Diddy the love. The report indicates that Shakur was offered $7000 to come to the studio and law down a vocal track for a song, and when he got there he was ambushed. The Times said they received their information from FBI records. Diddy denies the claims.

If we’re still talking about and reporting on the Biggy/Tupac beef, what does that say about the current era of hip-hop? Because there isn’t as much violence, conspiracy, and general thuggery we have to go back 14 years to dig up dirt to keep people interested? There is still plenty of violence in hip-hop, but I guess the new guys just aren’t as compelling stories. Maybe this will have some sort of effect on the new generation. Maybe they will step up their game and start murdering people in the streets to get some attention.

I frankly cannot understand any of this. Why have a seen hotter hookers digging through garbage cans in Union Sq? At best I’d classify her as a cute bartender I’d think I might have a shot with if there wasn’t anyone else in the bar to hit on.

Her Myspace was discovered, and sadly taken down just as quick, thanks for topsocialite.com for saving a bunch of pics before it went offline.

Take a look at the pics and try to wrap your mind around the rate of $1,000 an hr. For that cash she must have done more. Maybe his taxes, picked up his dry cleaning and rotated his tires? I think I might dish out an extra $50 if she cleaned under my bed.

The $4500 girl was putting all her booty into an album.  Check out her Myspace profile.  Clearly, she needs to sit on yachts off the coast of very expensive islands and meditate for inspiration.

This could be one of his best jokes ever.  Billy Crystal is batting in the lead off spot  in Thursday exhibition game against the Pittsburgh Pirates.  Are they going to throw it to him underhand?

Crystal will number 60, fitting as he turns 60 this weekend.  What a birthday present indeed.
